Prince William goes on a two -day visit to Estonia to support the British military, deployed in the country as part of a Cabrit surgery. This operation is a contribution to the United Kingdom to strengthen the Eastern Flanging and Countering Russian Aggression in the Baltic States. About 900 British soldiers, along with Danish, French and Estonian forces, are constantly rotten to ensure the security of the region.
Prince Wales' visit will be held at the request of the UK Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The program plans to visit a Tapa camp, located 160 kilometers from the Russian border. The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the activities of the British troops and their contribution to the strengthening of NATO's defense capability.
In addition, Prince William also visits Freedom School, created by the Estonia Ministry of Education in May 2022 against the background of Russia's full -scale war against Ukraine.
Visit is considered especially relevant because of Estonia's fears that, after a potential peace agreement with Ukraine, Russia can be re -armed and attacked by NATO North -European Allies. Against this background, the Prime Minister of the UK, Kir Starmer, is negotiating the possible involvement of troops in the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
