In the evening of December 4, during emergency rescue operations in Kharkiv, a landslide occurred, resulting in the death of two gas service workers.
This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region. According to their information, the event happened around 6:30 p.m. on Shevchenko Street, where gas service workers were repairing an underground gas pipeline. As a result of a sudden landslide, men born in 1981 and 1975 were buried under the rubble.
"Rescuers used all possible efforts to save the victims, but unfortunately both died. The ambulance team also worked on resuscitation, but the efforts turned out to be unsuccessful," Yevhen Vasylenko, spokesman for the Kharkiv Oblast State Emergency Service, said in a comment to Gvar Media.
Rescuers arrived at the scene of the accident to carry out excavations, but, unfortunately, it was not possible to save the victims, they were found without signs of life.
