The US Automobile Company has announced a large -scale revocation of Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator crossover because of potential seat belts. The relevant ad was made after the National Safety Department of the US traffic (NHTSA) drew attention to possible defects in these models.
It turned out that in crossovers released from 2020 to 2021, bolts can be insufficiently tightened. This defect can seriously threaten the safety of passengers in the event of a traffic accident, as improper fixation of the belt can lead to injuries. In total, 240 510 units of Explorer and Aviator models came under the recall. Ford has already informed the owners that they can contact the nearest dealership for free check and eliminate the problem. Car owners are asked to carry out free check and eliminate defect in authorized service centers. Specialists will carry out the necessary work to ensure the correct fixation of the seat belt and safe use of the car.
This recall is an important Ford initiative aimed at ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers. Explorer and Aviator crossover owners should not delay and contact dealers to check their cars to avoid possible problems in the future.
