France has increased defense expenses, some of which will be directed to production in Ukraine, the Ambassador of France to Ukraine, Gael, said.
During the 16th Annual Kyiv Security Forum, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation, “Open Ukraine”, the Ambassador noted that France's expenditures for defense exceeded 2% of GDP.
Regarding investments in defense, the diplomat emphasized that investments are also needed to produce the Ukrainian Armed Forces needed in Ukraine.
"We claim that if we can start the production of equipment in Ukraine, we have to do it," the wholeiere said.
He also called for the support of Ukraine in victory.
"Imagine for a moment that Russia will win. This means that Russia will be able to use force against neighbors, and the international community will be powerless. This will lead to the fact that many countries will look for joining the nuclear club to ensure its security. This situation will be much more risky and unstable than the present."
