The Elizabeth Born government has approved the use of the French OLVID application to exchange instant messages and send a directive according to which all ministers and their employees should only use this appendix, abandoning other messengers. Ministers and cabinet members have to switch to OLVID by December 8.
Founded by the Paris Startup in 2019, OLVID is highly security, abandoning the centralized user catalog and providing encryption of the content of messages and all metadata conversations.
The application does not require personal data when registering, while its competitors, such as WhatsApp, provide information, including phone number and e -mail address. OLVID users interact through QR codes and four-digit codes without using their phone numbers.
OLVID received certification from Anssi, the French National Agency for Information Systems Security. Since its launch, no security issues have been identified in the appendix.
After a circular from the Borne government, the number of OLVID users is expected to increase rapidly. The application now leads the rating of free applications in the social networking category on the App Store. Refusing experts, the founder of OLVID noted that no security issues have been identified since the start of the appendix.
