The expert view of the retired General and the former US Army Commander in Europe, Ben Gogeges, reveals the expected events at the Military Front in Ukraine during the winter. Noting the difficult conditions, the expert expressed some forecasts on the actions of both parties to the conflict.
Goodges expressed confidence that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces) would not reduce the pace of their actions even in a difficult winter. He stressed that Ukrainians would continue to influence the Russian forces, directing their blows to the enemy's logistics infrastructure.
"I have no doubt that Russia will do the same as last winter - will attack the energy network in order to make the lives of civilians terrible. The goal is to undermine the readiness of the Ukrainian people for resistance. Therefore, air defense products should be the first on the list of supply to Ukraine," - said Goodges.
At the same time, the General noted that Russian soldiers can face serious difficulties because of the horrific logistics system and the difficult conditions of winter fighting.
"I would not like to be Russian in the trench. They have a terrible system of logistics, their leaders to sneak on them. So Russian soldiers will suffer terribly in the winter. I think we will see a decrease in the effectiveness of some of their drones," Goodges added.
It is noted that the general's forecasts indicate unfavorable conditions for Russian troops, while the Ukrainian forces remain defined and ready to repel any challenges.
