On December 18, law enforcement officers detained Ivan Rudy, the chairman of the Gambling and Lottery Regulation Commission (Drots), on suspicion of assisting representatives of the aggressor country. The operation was performed by employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to sources, a significant amount of a substance similar to a narcotic substance was found during a search of Rudo. This incident was only the last event that has attracted attention to the activities of downs, which has recently been under the sight of the media due to the probable involvement in the work of online casino in Ukraine, which have ties with the Russian Federation.
Suspicion of the chairman of the downs is part of a broader investigation into gambling in Ukraine, especially online casinos that may be related to Russia. This detention has become an important signal for further investigations in this area.
So far, Ivan Rudy has not commented on his arrest, but his detention has become one of the most resonant events in the fight against illegal gambling in Ukraine.
