The Gomel region, which borders with the Rivne region, is prepared for transfer to "wartime".
The First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus Alexander Khudaleyev during a training on the resource support of the fire-rescue detachment of the Gomel Regional Ministry of Emergencies in wartime stated that perspective directions for improving interagency interaction in war period were determined.
"The readiness of special formations, their staff and other aspects have been tested. In general, the region's system is ready if necessary for wartime transfer," he said.
At the same time, Khudaleev pointed to a number of adjustments that require surgery.
"We will develop management decisions and make appropriate regulations that will allow us to ensure the functioning and interaction during preparation and transfer to military rails," he added.
Khudeleev explained that within two days in the Southeastern region, a number of readiness elements not only of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were worked out in the southeastern region, but also of all civil defense formations for actions in wartime.
