President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has declared preparations for new negotiations with the United States on sanction policy against Russia. He reported this in his traditional evening address on April 29.
According to the Head of State, Ukraine and its partners focus on the "pain points" of the Russian economy and the political system - just those that can force Moscow to return to diplomacy.
"We are also preparing for a conversation with America on new sanction steps - we choose exactly the kind of pain points that will most encourage Moscow to diplomacy. They must take clear steps before the war, and we insist that the unconditional and complete cease cessation of fire should be the first step.
The President also noted that in Russia it will be worried about holding the May parade, which, in his opinion, is a smaller cause for concern than the continuation of the war.
"Now they are worried that they have a parade in question and are going through properly. But they must worry that this war is still ongoing. They must finish the war," he said.
The Ukrainian side expects that joint action with partners, including the United States, will help to increase the pressure on the Kremlin and bring the end of full -scale aggression.
