Vivek Ramasvami, a Republican, who, together with Ilon Musk, headed the government efficiency (Doge), left the body through its intention to run for the post of governor of Ohio next year.
Anna Kelly, a DOGE Presscretar, confirmed Ramaswam's resignation:
"Vivek Ramaswami played a decisive role in the creation of Doge. His future participation in the elections requires that he stays outside our body. We are gratefully grateful for his contribution and confident that he will play a role."
President Donald Trump has chosen a mask and ramasvami for the management of Doge, a non -governmental working group created to release federal employees, reduce government programs and simplify the rules within the framework of the Initiative "Save America".
Ilon Musk will now head the department on its own. However, his involvement was a concern for ethics, given that his company SpaceX and Tesla have large defense contracts and can benefit from the decisions of the Trump administration.
