Iran plans to transfer to Russian Ballist Missions FATH 360, which can significantly affect the military situation. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources in European intelligence.
According to information, dozens of Russian military are already trained in Iran using FATH 360 missiles. It is expected that this stage of training will be preceded by the transfer of missiles of Russia. The contract for the supply of FATH 360 missiles and other Ababil ballistic system was signed between the Ministry of Defense of Russia and Iranian officials on December 13.
According to intelligence, the exact time of supply of missiles to Russia has not yet been determined, but this is expected in the near future. FATH 360 missiles have a radius of up to 120 kilometers and can carry warheads weighing 150 kg. Experts say that these missiles have the ability to compare them, which increases their accuracy.
In response to Iran's possible supply, the US National Security Council said that the US and their NATO allies were ready to provide a quick and rigid answer. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of Russia did not comment on Reuters requests for this situation.
The supply of FATH 360 missiles can allow Russia to use its own long -range missiles for the purposes of the front line, while Iranian missiles will be used for shorter distances. This development can change the placement of forces in the region and affect the strategic plans of both countries.
