Iran and US ended the first round of negotiations

Muscat held the first round of negotiations between Iran and the United States, which discussed important issues related to Iran's nuclear program and the possibility of withdrawing international sanctions. Negotiations were indirect format, where both parties exchanged their positions through the mediation of the Foreign Minister Bader Bin Hamada al-Busaida. During the meeting, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi and US Presidential Special Representative Steve Witcoff emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and mutual respect.

In its official message, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran noted that the negotiations were in a constructive atmosphere and on the basis of mutual respect. According to the results of the first stage of the negotiation, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue next week to discuss further steps to solve the nuclear problem and sanctions.

This round of negotiations is part of a broader process of finding a diplomatic solution for a nuclear crisis that has been going on for many years. Earlier, Iran and the United States made some progress within the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (SVPD), which was concluded in 2015, but subsequently the United States left the agreement in 2018, restoring economic sanctions against Iran.

Now, after a few years of escalation and tension, countries are trying to find opportunities to restore a nuclear agreement and the removal of sanctions that have a serious impact on the Iran's economy. The key issues are the restriction of the Iranian nuclear program and the return to the conditions that were agreed during the signing of the SVPD.

Negotiation participants emphasize that it is important not only to reach a nuclear program agreement for further progress, but also to resolve sanctions that create serious economic difficulties for Iran. In this context, it is important to ensure transparency and accountability in fulfillment of obligations to restore cooperation between the two countries.

The first round of negotiations became only the beginning of a long and difficult process, but it demonstrated the presence of political will of both parties to further promote in the direction of solving the nuclear problem. According to representatives of both countries, this dialogue is of great importance for ensuring stability in the region and for the development of bilateral relations in the future.

The parties believe that the following rounds of negotiations can lead to positive changes, although optimistic assessments about the results of negotiations have not yet been given. In any case, an important step is that the parties are ready to continue the dialogue, despite numerous difficulties and differences.
