Spain continues to support Ukraine: during a visit to Lviv, Spain Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albars announced the allocation of an additional 10 million euros for humanitarian aid. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain on January 28.
The Cooperation Agency will be a supplement of up to 100 million euros, which Madrid has already transferred Kiev since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Russia.
In addition to financial support, Spain continues to assist Ukraine in other areas. During his trip to Lviv, Albers visited a local hospital, where he announced the sending of a Spanish medical team to teach Ukrainian doctors.
It is also noted that almost 7,000 Ukrainian military has been trained in Spain.
The support of Ukraine by Spain was discussed at the highest level. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has negotiated with the Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez. One of the main topics was Ukraine's need for additional air defense systems.
