The former Italian Armando ICCO national team player was justified in the case of a contractual match and possible connections with the Mafia. The Court of Appeal of Naples made a decision that removes all the accusations from the football player after many years of investigation.
The doubts about the player's honesty appeared in 2014, when the investigation of possible manipulations in matches began. Two years later, he was officially accused of conspiracy with the Neapolitan criminal group, which, according to the investigation, organized a contractual match in the 2013/14 season between Avellino and Moden's clubs.
The footballer denied his involvement, but in 2017 received a disqualification for a year and a half and a fine of 50 thousand euros. Later, the removal period was reduced to six months.
In 2023 he was sentenced to five years conditional, but after the appeal was filled, the court revised the decision and found the player innocent.
The Monza Club confirmed the court's decision, and the football player himself expressed gratitude to all who supported it during this difficult period. He stressed that he always believed in justice and hopes to leave this situation in the past.
After final justification, he will be able to focus on his career and continue his performances in the Italy Championship.
