A fire broke out in the world's oldest stock exchange building in Denmark

A fire broke out in the historical stock exchange building of the 17th century in Copenhagen. Its spire collapsed as a result of the fire.

The Chamber of Commerce urges to stay away from Slotsholmen, where the building is located, as the situation is very serious.

Efforts to preserve the historic art assets are already underway, including the removal of paintings from the building.

The Minister of Culture emphasized that as a result of the fire, a significant part of the country's cultural heritage was burned, and the spire of the building was destroyed.

Firefighters reported that part of the roof had collapsed and the fire had spread to several floors. Extinguishing a fire can take at least 24 hours.
