Israel and Hamas reached an agreement on a ceasefire and the release of hostages

Israel and the Palestinian Hamas group have agreed to cease fire in the Gaza Sector and exchanging hostages. This Agreement was the result of negotiations with the participation of Prime Minister Qatar Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahmanan Al Tani. About it reports the Air Force, referring to the informed source.

There is no official confirmation of the Agreement by the Government of Israel or Hamas, but the representative of the group said Hamas agreed to the project of the agreement proposed by mediators from Qatar, the United States and Egypt.

As part of the first stage of the arrangements, the release of 33 hostages held by Hamas is planned in exchange for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons. The exchange should occur within the first six weeks of ceasefire.

The second stage of the agreement is expected to provide for further release of hostages, the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Sector and the achievement of a long truce. Negotiations should start two weeks.

The final, the third stage of the agreement will relate to the reconstruction of the gases after devastating fighting, as well as the return of the bodies of all the hostages remaining.

An agreement is an important step towards a weakening of tension in the region where hostilities have increased in recent months and the number of victims among civilians has increased. However, the success of the agreement will largely depend on the further dialogue between the parties and the support of international mediators.
