The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Volodymyr Mikhayev temporarily acting head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine (State Commission). Mikhayev, who previously held the position of deputy chairman of the agency, is already in the third time the head of the State Commission as a so -called.
At the same time, the government dismissed Vladimir Beni from the post of the first deputy chairman of the agency. Ben served the duties of the State Support Head since 2022 and applied for dismissal at will.
Volodymyr Mikhayev has already performed the duties of the head of the State Commission in 2019 and 2021, which testifies to his deep experience and understanding of the work of the agency. His previous professional path in the space industry and management positions in the agency form high expectations for effective management.
Minister of Strategic Industry Strategic Industry Smetanin said that the formation of a competition commission for election of a permanent head of the State Commission has already begun. This decision is aimed at ensuring stability in the management of the Ukrainian space industry and its further development.
The appointment of a new head of the department will be an important stage in shaping the strategic course of development of the space industry of Ukraine, which remains an important element of technological progress of the country.
