German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz expressed in the need for Russia's participation in the next peace conference dedicated to conflict in Ukraine. In an interview with ZDF, he emphasized the importance of a quick achievement of peace and discussing ways to get out of a martial law.
"I believe that now the time we need to discuss how we can get out of this military situation and come to peace," he said in an interview with ZDF.
Scholz also mentioned his recent conversation with Zelensky, who, according to Chancellor, agreed that the Russian Federation would take part in the next peace conference.
Earlier, Zelensky himself said.
At the same time, Putin stated that Russia would not negotiate until Ukraine withdraw troops from the Kursk region.
We will remind that the former ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Melnyk urged yesterday to Scholz contact Putin and discuss negotiations.
