In the first six months of 2024, almost 92 thousand FOPs were closed in Ukraine, which is 54% higher than the relevant period of 2023. This was reported in the press release of YouControl.market.
It is also noted that the number of closed enterprises increased by 15%, to more than 1.5 thousand in the first half of 2024.
Most entrepreneurs ceased operating in May and January, when more than 16,000 FOPs closed each month. Kyiv was again the leader in the number of closed FOPs - more than 12 thousand. 5.3 thousand FOPs were closed in Kharkiv, 3.8 thousand in Odessa, 3.3 thousand in the Dnieper, and 2.8 thousand in Lviv.
In the communities, the most closed FOPs were Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) - 1.4 thousand, Kremenchug (Poltava region) - 780 and Belotserkivska (Kyiv region) - almost 600.
By gender, men were closed by 4% more FOPs than women: 47.7 thousand men compared to 44 thousand women.
Most of the enterprises were closed in retail sectors (more than 29 thousand, which is an increase of 44.8%compared to 2023), information technologies (almost 16 thousand, which is 65.9%) and other services (9.7 thousand, which is 60.8%).
The largest closure of enterprises is recorded in Kiev - more than 200. Among the regions are the leading Dnipropetrovsk - 187, Lviv - 127 and Zaporizhia - 96.
Among the communities, the largest enterprises were closed in Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) - 42, Kamianskaya (Dnipropetrovsk region) - 18 and Brovarskaya (Kyiv region) - 15.
The most closed is registered in wholesale trade sectors (194 companies), real estate operations (148) and construction (95).
During the first half of 2024, more than 13,000 new companies and almost 148.5 thousand FOPs were also registered in Ukraine.
