Klitschko announces Kyiv's additional spending on incentive payments to the mobilized Armed Forces

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced plans for allocation of additional funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces). According to the report, the Kyiv City Council will increase the expenditures by UAH 60 million for stimulating payments to mobilized Kiev.

According to the decision, this year will allocate UAH 10 million, and the next - UAH 50 million. Kyiv plans to pay 30 thousand hryvnias to every resident of Kiev, which is mobilized to the Armed Forces after December 1, 2023. This payment will be one -off and intended for additional financial support for recruits.

Vitaliy Klitschko stressed that these funds will be allocated under the program "Defender of Kiev". Note that this year, over UAH 7 billion has already been allocated to the defenders, the mayor of Kiev added that they plan to make a few more decisions to allocate additional funds for the needs of the Armed Forces by the end of the year.

"The Kyiv City Council has found to help our defenders this year almost 7 billion hryvnias. And continues to allocate these funds from the budget by the requests of our military. By the end of this year, we will make a few more decisions on the financial support of the Armed Forces units. In particular, we are preparing draft decisions for the next meeting.
