The people of Kiev were worried about a video where something falls into the Dnieper from the Paton Bridge, causing waves on the water. Social networks have spread assumptions about the destruction of the crossing, its overlap and danger to drivers. Some residents criticized the authorities for allegedly inaction.
However, the KSCA denied these fears. Representatives of the Department of Transport Infrastructure explained that the paton bridge continues routine work to clean the main beams from dirt and corrosion substances. These works are performed on the recommendations of specialists and with the participation of workers working on construction scaffolds.
Powerful streams of water under high pressure wash the contamination, and it was the flow of water that dropped into the river, not concrete or metal elements of the structure. Therefore, the bridge is not destroyed and is not in danger.
The KSCA emphasized that the work was warned of the work of Kyiv, and the work itself is part of the regular maintenance of infrastructure. Therefore, there are no reason to excite the Paton Bridge.
