Commanders of France and Britain in Kiev discussed Ukraine support strategy

On April 4, 2025, Kyiv accepted an important visit to the Commander of the Armed Forces of France and the United Kingdom. The purpose of this visit was to discuss strategic aspects of long -term support for the Ukrainian army in the current conflict and for further restoration and development after the war.

The meeting was held with the highest leadership of Ukraine, in particular with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The French and British generals, who heads the armies of their countries, discussed the needs of the Ukrainian army at the front with Ukrainian colleagues, as well as the need for effective and sustained support in the future.

According to representatives of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of France, the purpose of the visit was to identify specific tasks and opportunities to provide long -term assistance to the Ukrainian military. In particular, it was about modernizing and improving the efficiency of the Ukrainian forces, which are important to meet their needs in the context of new challenges.

"France and the United Kingdom will cooperate with Ukraine as part of an international coalition to ensure its protection and restoration in the future," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of France said.

One of the important aspects of negotiations was the discussion of security issues on the European continent after the war, as well as preparation for possible operations aimed at preventing a new large -scale invasion of Russia. France and the United Kingdom assured that they were ready to continue cooperation for stability in the region, and promised to promote Ukraine's defense potential at all levels.

The visit also emphasized the importance of maintaining the high dynamics of cooperation between France, the United Kingdom and Ukraine in the following years to ensure reliable protection and security on the European continent after the hostilities were completed.
