As the New Year holidays approach, the National Police of Ukraine reminds citizens of the importance of compliance with the curfew, and reports that it will respond decisively to any violations of this restriction. The Head of the National Police Department, Maxim Akhramyev, stated that police, national guard servicemen, law enforcement officers, public formations and volunteers will be involved in order to ensure law and order.
"We understand that New Year's holidays are a time of joy and celebration. But the curfew is an important degree of security that helps to ensure calm and order during this period. We will respond rigidly to any violations, but we will understand with understanding of persons who have broken it through the extreme need," Akhramyev stressed.
It is noted that in most areas, the curfew will last from 00:00 to 05:00, but some areas may have their own schedule. The National Police urges citizens to follow the established rules and emphasizes that any violations will be stopped immediately.
Law enforcement officers will conduct enhanced patrol, as well as checks and documents. Temporary roadblocks, restrictive signs and elements of engineering barriers will be deployed in a number of places to ensure the safety of citizens during celebrations.
New Year holidays should be a time of joy and satisfaction, and the National Police makes all possible efforts to ensure security and order during this period.
