Ukraine's largest energy company DTEK lost 50% of its generation facilities due to the Russian attack on March 22.
This was stated by the director of YASNO Serhiy Kovalenko.
"If we talk about the DTEK group, then 50% of the generation facilities have been lost. We will find out how much time and money is needed for restoration in a few more days. I can definitely say that this process will not take a day, a week or a month," he said on the air of the telethon.
In Kharkiv, all substations, as well as the thermal power plant, were destroyed, mayor Ihor Terekhov announced on the air of the telethon.
"There is no answer to the question of how long the restoration work will last. Repair crews are working, but the destruction is very serious, all the transformer substations were destroyed, the thermal power plant was destroyed," he said.
Earlier, Terekhov said that less than half of Kharkiv residents now have electricity. The Ministry of Energy clarified that hourly blackouts have been introduced in the city.
