The Russian air defense on the Crimea Peninsula is becoming less effective, which makes the region more vulnerable to rocket attacks, the military analyst Alexander Kovalenko warns.
In an interview with the FREED, he notes that regular air defense failures indicate a decrease in the potential of the Russian Armed Forces on the Peninsula.
Kovalenko also points out that Ukraine can receive new weapons models from international partners, including ATCMS missiles with a 300 kilometers' lesion. This will further enhance Ukraine's ability to strike on a peninsula where Russia does not control the airspace.
According to the analyst, Russian air defense does not cope with its direct tasks and is serious about difficulties. This poses a threat to Crimea, which can be the most vulnerable territory for ballistic or other missile attacks.
Kovalenko also drew attention to the statement of the German Defense Minister Pistorius about the possibility of starting the war in Europe. He connected this statement with the current situation in the Gaza and Israel sector, where protests and rallies in support of Hamas occur. These events, according to the analyst, may indicate the collapse of multicultural policy in Europe and influence the situation in the region.
Kovalenko warns that such demonstrations and protests can lead to confrontation and even hostilities in the European territory. The situation requires careful observation and analysis to prevent possible armed collision.
