On the night of March 29 to March 30, Ukraine has traditionally moved to the summer. The Kiev subway explained how this process is underground, so as not to disrupt the clear operation of the entire system.
On the official page of the Kiev subway on Facebook a video was posted, which describes the mechanism of synchronization of the clock in the subway. The Kiev subway has more than 100 face watches on platforms that help the drivers to navigate in time, as well as more than 3,500 mechanical watches at stations, depot and office space. To ensure accuracy of time, a central clock station is used, which sends a synchronizing pulse to all subway watches. Such a system is extremely important, because the train schedule is painted with accuracy up to seconds.
Transfer of watches to the subway occurs at night when trains are stopped so as not to disturb the subway work schedule. Each station has a local clock station that receives a signal from the central station and distributes it between all watches.
Thus, the synchronization of time in the Kiev subway is automatically and uninterrupted, ensuring the accuracy of train schedule and comfort for passengers.
