An important aspect is China's willingness to actively involve the country after the conflict is over, and to continue to provide humanitarian assistance.
This statement was made in response to the words of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who recently noted that China can play an important role in restoring peace and reconstruction of Ukraine. This step emphasizes Beijing's willingness to be part of the future restoration of the country affected by the war.
It should be reminded that the total cost of Ukraine's restoration is estimated at $ 524 billion according to the report of governments of Ukraine, the World Bank, the European Commission and the UN. Today, Kyiv has already received $ 13 billion to rebuild through the support of international partners and private sector.
In addition, Lee Ming stressed that since the beginning of the war, China has provided four parties to humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The first party worth 5 million yuan (approximately $ 790,000) was sent in March 2022. Later, China also provided an additional amount of 10 million yuan ($ 1.57 million).
