The submitted map marked the trajectory of 58 balloons, which were discovered during the intersection of the Middle Line of the Taiwanese Strait since December 7, when the first reports of their presence became known.

On the morning of Friday, January 26, about half of the meteorological balloons broke the airspace of Taiwan, of which 16 flew over the island itself, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the country reported.

Regularly, almost daily, China's People's Liberation Army sends planes above, in fact, the buffer zone of the Taiwanese Strait. Beijing states that this tactic is a form of warnings of the Democratic Progressive Party of Taipei, which firmly rejects any claims for sovereignty over the island.China's balloons

Spring aircraft, bombers, fighters and drones continue to operate within the island's air defense identification zone, affecting the international airspace.

On the morning of January 26, 10 aircraft of China and 4 ships were around Taiwan. Two of these aircraft entered the Taiwan air defense area. Taiwan's armed forces followed the situation and released the relevant response teams. However, balloons have become a new challenge for the Taiwan government, which last month characterized them as part of a psychological war in order to undermine society's trust in the government. Representatives of the Ministry of Defense stated that they would respond to balloons according to the level of threat, but not plan to knock them down.Map of routes of China's ships around Taiwan, January 26

"Research shows that in the eyes of citizens the invasion of unmanned airspace causes less escalation than, for example, manned planes. Balloons, according to Raymond CUO, a political scientist from the analytical center of Rand, they are in this first category.
