The leaders of the States of the Seven (G7) states made a statement about the situation in Syria, congratulating the beginning of political transformations in the country and calling for its unity. The joint statement states: "We, G7 leaders, confirm our obligations to the Syria people and provide support for the inclusive Syrians of the process of political transition in the spirit of the UN Security Council Resolution 2254."
Leaders called on all parties to the conflict to ensure the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria. They emphasized that the large seven will support a political transition that will guarantee the rights of all ethno -confessional minorities and women in the country.
Particular attention was paid to the responsibility for the crimes committed during the conflict. G7 leaders emphasized the need to hold the Syrian regime, headed by President Bashar Assad, for human rights violations and other crimes.
Thus, the Seven Group confirmed their commitment to the peaceful settlement of the Syrian conflict in accordance with international law and maintaining stability in the region.
