President of Belarus Oleksandr Lukashenko conducts active foreign policy, looking for new opportunities for cooperation and replacement of Russia in trade and economy. This was reported by Pavel Latushko, the head of the people's anti -crisis management and the head of the united transition office of Belarus.
Recently, Lukashenko has made numerous visits abroad, in particular, in the United Arab Emirates and Africa countries, showing interest in establishing cooperation with China. This testifies to his efforts to find new trade and economic partners.
Lukashenko's relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin are considered tense, and, according to the sheet, are in the "coldest phase of interaction". Russia does not view Belarus as a bridgehead for an offensive on Ukraine.
"Lukashenko has a problem with trade and economic relations," Latushko emphasized.
The opposition activist also noted that the solutions of some issues between Lukashenko and Putin have not been achieved, for example, in question with a nuclear power plant. There are difficulties in supplying agricultural products.
Pathozushko adds that China is the first potential partner for Belarus, and Lukashenko actively demonstrates interest in cooperation with this country. Further developments in cooperation between Lukashenko and Putin may be indicative during their meeting before the New Year.
