On the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant on April 24, a shooting near the main administrative building, where IAE representatives are located. This was reported by the CEO of Rafael Grosssey on the official website of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
According to Grossi, experts were ordered to remain in shelter after loud shots were fired nearby. Representatives of the occupation administration explained the restrictions on the threat of drones, which is why the IAEA group was unable to take the planned actions at the facility.
In addition to the incident on April 24, the agency's experts have heard explosions and shots at different distances from the ZPP.
"The fact that it was practically incredible - hostilities near a large nuclear object - became a common part of everyday reality," Grossi stressed.
The IAEA head also warned that the situation in terms of nuclear safety is "obviously unstable" and once again called for immediate measures to avoid catastrophe.
“The IAEA is still given to do everything possible to prevent a nuclear accident during this tragic war, ”Grossi summed up.
