Macron calls for safety guarantees for Ukraine after the war

French President Emmanuel Macron has called on the warlords of 30 European countries and NATO countries to proceed to the practical planning of security guarantees for Ukraine, which should become the basis for a stable and long peace after the end of the war. The Presidential address took place during the Paris Defense and Strategy Forum, which discussed the importance of determining reliable security mechanisms for Ukraine.

Macron noted that with the acceleration of peace talks, it is necessary to move from conceptual ideas to a real plan, which will guarantee the stability and security of Ukraine after the conclusion of a peace agreement with Russia. He stressed that it is critical to ensure a "strong and long peace" in the region.

"We need to move from the concept to a specific plan to create reliable security guarantees for Ukraine. This will be necessary for the peace that we jointly strive is not only achieved but also firmly fixed," Macron said.

The participants of the meeting also agreed that these guarantees cannot be separated from NATO and its capabilities. This means that future security mechanisms for Ukraine should take into account the interests and capabilities of the Alliance, which guarantees protection at the international level.

The planning of security guarantees has become one of the key points on the agenda, since the issue of stability and security of Ukraine after the end of the war is an integral part of global efforts to restore peace in Europe.
