American billionaire Ilon Musk became a nobel Peace Prize in 2025. The businessman's candidacy was nominated by a member of the European Parliament Branko Grims, who announced it on his Facebook page.
According to the deputy, the request for the award was filed on January 29, 2025. Grims stressed that Musk deserved such a reward due to his "consistent devotion to the fundamental right of a person to freedom of public expression", which is an important aspect for peace support.
It is noted that this contribution of the mask to the sphere of human rights and freedom of expression has become significant, in particular through its activities in various fields, including technologies, media and communications.
The deputy also thanked all the co -authors of the petition and those who helped the project. However, it is not yet clear how the process of further nomination will develop, because the decision to award the Nobel Prize is usually made on the basis of numerous criteria, among which the important role is played by international recognition and contribution to global changes.
