Microsoft has released hundreds of employees - this is the second stage of contractions in recent weeks. According to Bloomberg , more than 300 employees received a job loss on Monday. This is a supplement to a large -scale release of 6,000 employees announced in May.
The company noted that the reduction is part of the strategic revision of the cost structure. Despite the active investment in the development of artificial intelligence, Microsoft is reducing the states in other directions.
Although preliminary release has mostly affected the programmers, it is unknown what departments were affected this time.
As of June 2024, about 228,000 people worked at Microsoft, 55% of which in the United States. The company is actively reorienting on the use of AI and optimizing costs, in particular by reducing the number of employees.
