The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced changes to the procedure for admission to higher education institutions in the current year. These changes that will affect various aspects of admission include complications of the procedure for future graduate students. The corresponding letter signed by Deputy Minister Mikhail Vinnytsky was sent to higher education institutions last week.
After it was decided to maintain a delay from mobilization for postgraduate persons, the Ministry of Education and Science changed the requirements for admission to obtain this degree.
The main innovation was the introduction for those who want to enter the magistracy and graduate school of a single entrance exam, which consists of two subjects - educational competence and foreign language.
But that's not all.
Terms of enrollment for study have been changed. Until the previous year, universities had the right to recruit graduate students throughout the school year. Now the enrollment in graduate school will take place no earlier than September.
In addition, according to the orders of the Minister of Education Oksen Lisovy, the following terms for enrollment in the master's degree were approved:
- submission of documents to participate in the competitive selection from August 1 to August 22,
- for contractors from August 1 to August 16,
- enrollment of state employees by August 27,
- enrollment of contractors - until August 30.
This means that many of those who want to enter the university on a magistracy or graduate school to get the right to defer from mobilization, may simply not wait for an order for enrollment and be called into the army until this moment.
