The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov announced the beginning of a comprehensive inspection of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This process will be conducted by the Main Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense, and the results of the audit will be the basis for further reforms in the troops management system. Umerov reported this on Thursday, January 2.
The head of the Ministry of Defense stressed that the events in the Land Forces have a direct impact on the situation at the front. "That is why I support the need for the new Commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Major General Michael Drapaty to have a complete picture of the state of affairs," Umerov said.
Comprehensive analysis involves checking the organizational structure and authority, assessing the effectiveness of management processes and compliance with the legislation. The purpose of the audit is to identify problematic zones, to optimize the work of units and to introduce new approaches to the management and training of fighters.
Reforms in the management and personnel policy system will be implemented on the basis of the data obtained. It is planned to optimize management processes, which will increase the combat capability of the Land Forces units. Particular attention will be paid to improving the training of servicemen, which will be an important step towards increasing Ukraine's defense capability.
