This morning, the Russian military raised an attempt to break the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the north of the Kharkiv region. Despite the attack, the Ukrainian military successfully repelled the enemy's attack, but the fighting continues.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
From the beginning of the day, the Russian forces have intensified shelling of positions of the Ukrainian military in the direction of Vovchansk.
The enemy used mortars, shooting and rocket artillery, as well as aviation bombs.
"At about 5am, the enemy tried to break through our defensive line, using armored vehicles for cover. At the moment, attacks are reflected, but the fighting continues of varying intensity," the department's press service reported.
The Defense Ministry emphasized that reserve units were already sent to strengthen the defense in this direction.
