The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially launched the licensed production of modern FPV-iots on the basis of one of the state-owned enterprises. The department reported this on Wednesday, January 29.
According to the First Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Ivan Havrylyuk, the integration of the state into the production chains allowed to obtain a clear understanding of the cost of production of drones and to identify competitive advantages in this market. This, in turn, will promote the quality of finished products due to the constant level of competition.
The launch of production occurs within the framework of the pilot project, which began in December last year under the general coordination of the Main Directorate of Defense Innovation of the Ministry of Defense. As a result, the state has been able to produce codified FPVrons that will meet all the required standards and requirements.
An important part of the implementation of the project was the signing of a tripartite agreement, according to which the private developer granted a license permit for the production of drones on the basis of a state -owned enterprise, which is subject to the Ministry of Defense. In addition, the experts of the department have developed a road card to create similar industries in cooperation with other developers of unmanned aviation complexes (BPAC).
“We are ready to expand cooperation with private companies. We have a package of template documents and step -by -step instructions for launching similar BPAC lines at other state -owned enterprises, ”said Yuriy Taraanyuk, Head of the Main Directorate of Defense Innovation.
This step of the Ministry of Defense will allow Ukraine to significantly strengthen its own technological capabilities in the field of unmanned aviation, will contribute to the development of the national military-industrial complex and strengthening the country's defense capability.
