Miss Ukraine-2024 Maria Melnichenko presented a national costume with which Ukraine will represent the International Miss World Beauty Competition, which will take place on May 31 in India. Its image is called "the soul of the earth. The keeper of life" and is a deep visual manifesto of Ukrainian identity, the strength of the woman and the fertility of the Ukrainian land.
The suit created by Ukrainian designers is a real work of art. The basis of the outfit is a long golden dress with elements of wheat ears that are woven into embroidery. The golden color symbolizes the generosity of the fields, and the scattering of grains in the decor is reminiscent of the life -giving mission of Ukraine as one of the largest exporters of grain in the world.
Particularly noteworthy is the transparent cape that gently hugs the shoulders, and a headdress in the form of a solar crown of spikelets. This element represents the sun, life, warmth and female power - the power that preserves, treats and leads to revival.
The Melnichenko team emphasizes that this costume is not only about aesthetics, but also about deep meaning. He honors the Ukrainian woman as the keeper of life, which carries fertility, strength, softness and indomitability - traits that have become symbols of Ukraine today.
Maria Melnichenko is a student of the State Tax University in Irpen, where she studies finance, banking and insurance. She also has many years of experience in ball-sports dance, admires winter sports and actively joins charitable and volunteer initiatives.
