Moscow talked about transferring negotiations with Trump

The Kremlin has questioned the possibility of a meeting between US President Donald Trump (in the event of his election) and Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2025. This was stated by the assistant of the Russian dictator Yuri Ushakov in a comment for the Russian media.

According to Ushakov, negotiations of this level should be carefully prepared. Moscow, they say, is not interested in the meeting itself, but in its results: "We want to have specific reasons for such a meeting. And the necessary results that can be discussed at the highest level." He also noted that telephone contacts between Putin and Trump (in the previous stage of their relationship) have produced some results, but at this stage the probability of an eye meeting remains questionable. Ushakov stressed that it is premature to talk about real preparation of the summit.

Trump has repeatedly spoken of the possibility of "establishing relations" with Putin in the event of his return to the White House. However, the current phase of geopolitical tension, the war in Ukraine and the sanction policy of the West significantly complicate the possibility of open dialogue between leaders.
