The Ministry of Health of Ukraine denied allegations of possible corruption schemes during a tender to repair a damaged rocket stroke of the Okhmatdit Children's Hospital Corps.
According to the Deputy Minister of Health Eden Adamanov, the task for the project was developed by the international company "Eptisa Serviceios de Ingeniería, SL", which acts as a customer of restoration. This excludes any connection of state-owned enterprises with the winners of the tender.
The Ministry of Health noted that "Eptisa" was involved in the management of the project thanks to the grant funds provided by the World Bank. The contract with this company was concluded after preliminary surveys of the building conducted by experts of the Ukrainian Institute "Research Institute of Research Institute". On the basis of these research, international experts have prepared projected tasks, which was approved by the Ohmatdit Recovery Council.
The process of conducting the tender, according to representatives of the Ministry of Health, is transparent, because purchases are made through public tenders. The department emphasizes that each stage of recovery is a thorough analysis to ensure efficiency and quality of decisions.
“Ohmatdit's recovery is a complex multicomponent process. We rely on three basic principles: transparency, involvement of international experts and efficiency. There can be no compromises as it can be, ”Eden Adamanov said.
The Ohmatdit Recovery Project became the subject of debate after being accused of possible abuse during the tender. However, the Ministry of Health explained that the implementation is carried out with the involvement of international partners, which guarantees transparency and compliance with standards.
