The T -shirt of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with the inscription Make Russian Small Again ("Let's Make Russia Little Again") caused a wave of indignation in Russia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation promptly reacted to this gesture, publishing an angry post on the social network X (former Twitter), where the spokeswoman of the ministry Maria Zakharova did not hold back in statements.
The incident happened after Zelensky, dressed in this T -shirt, made a traditional evening video address on October 23. His image immediately became the subject of fervent discussion in Russian official circles. Zakharova, known for his sharp comment manner, asked that Zelensky meant by "Little Russia". She parallels to the past of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union, and also mentioned Kievan Rus, saying that Russia needs Kiev.
“Little as what? USSR? Russian Empire? Oh, I understood! Like Kievan Rus. We need Kyiv for this. You said it yourself, a puffy, ”Zakharova said sharply.
Such an emotional case of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation demonstrates how painful Russia perceives any symbolic or provocative actions by the Ukrainian leader, especially in the context of the continuation of the war and international isolation of Russia.
It is worth noting that the T -shirt with this inscription became a gift for Zelensky from the People's Deputy of the previous convocation Anna Gopko during a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian public. At this meeting, the President discussed the Victory Plan of Ukraine and called on the participants to work together to implement this plan.
During the meeting on October 23, which took place with the participation of Ukrainian activists and representatives of the public, Zelensky not only received a t -shirt with a provocative inscription, but also spoke about strategic steps to achieve Ukraine's victory in the war with Russia. He emphasized the importance of consolidating the efforts of the Ukrainian people and all who support Ukraine to achieve this goal.
