In the Dnipropetrovsk region, in several settlements of the Mezhiv Territorial Community, families with children have been compulsory evacuation. The corresponding message appeared on April 29 on the official resources of the Mezhivskaya STG. The decision is made against the background of the deterioration of the security situation in the region that borders on areas that periodically suffer shelling.
According to the order, the forced evacuation applies to the inhabitants of the villages of Kozersova, Novopodgorodne, Raypole and Sukhareva Balka. These settlements are defined as high -risk areas, and therefore local governments decided to export the most vulnerable categories of the population - families with children.
According to community representatives, evacuation will be organized, using vehicles provided by the local authorities. Departure is possible only after the preliminary approval of the date and time, as well as the mandatory registration at the collection, which will function in the village of Mezhov.
Residents are warned of the need to prepare for the departure in advance. People are advised to bring with them the most necessary:
-
documents (personal and for children),
-
cash and bank cards,
-
supply of food and water for at least 2-3 days,
-
medicines used constantly,
-
a mobile phone with a charger,
-
Warm clothing, change shoes and hygiene base.
Although the community reports are not directly referred to as the evacuation causes, the sources in the regional administration report that such a decision is related to the increased threat of rocket and artillery shelling, as well as the intensification of air alarm in the southeastern regions of the region. Such evacuation measures have been repeatedly applied in other front -line and border communities of Ukraine.
Evacucted will be temporarily placed in safer regions of Ukraine, where the hubs of admission of internally displaced persons are already operating. There, families will receive temporary housing, assistance from social services, the opportunity to continue their education for children and access to medical services.
The community emphasized that evacuation is compulsory and parents who refuse to leave the dangerous zone together with their children can be held accountable in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine on the protection of the rights of the child.
