On August 26, in the face of a continuous full -scale war in Ukraine, Poland witnessed an unusual incident. During a massive Russian combined blow in the Ukrainian airspace, an "unrecognized air object" was included in the Polish territory. Information about this case was provided by a conference organized by the Polish Armed Forces Operating Command.
According to Macie Clysh, a representative of the Polish Armed Forces operating command, it is likely that the object that crossed the Polish border was a drone. It is important to note that due to adverse weather conditions, the Polish soldiers were unable to give the command to destroy it in a timely manner. Klysh noted that in connection with the difficulties with visual confirmation, it was not possible to follow the necessary procedures to eliminate the object.
"Judging by the characteristics, the object is neither hypersonic nor a ballistic or controlled missile," Klish said.
Unrecognized object penetrated into the Polish airspace about 07:43 Kyiv time, near the city of Chervonograd, Lviv region. However, after he found himself in Poland, his radar trajectory disappeared, and Polish aviation could not visually confirm his presence.
In order to find out the details and search for possible debris, the Polish authorities began a search operation in the Tyshivtsi City-Sill Gmina, located in the eastern part of Poland, in the territory of the Tomashiv district of Lublin Voivodeship. This operation aims to identify possible remains of the object and find out whether it poses any threat.
