In Kharkiv region, Ukrainian law enforcement officers found 28 Russian tortures, which leads to the opening of 10 criminal proceedings with the participation of 227 victims, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Ministry of Internal Affairs).
For more than six months, the Russians, DNR and LNR employees, as well as local collaborators, illegally kept and subjected to torture people in the premises of the temporary detention center of the Kupyansk Police Department.
More than 67 people have been recognized as victims of violence in Kupyanskaya, but the police are aware of more than 150 tortured persons aged 16 to 65 years. This number was kept in the temporary detention center of the Kupyansk Police Department, which had a maximum capacity of 45 people. It is noted that some of them kept more than 100 days.
As a result of torture, two people were killed, four have disappeared, and four more were held captive. Three torturers remain unsatisfactory because of their location in intensively fired settlements on the border with Russia.
On January 3, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv issued a sentence for the former head of Donetsk torture Denis Kulikovsky, known by the name "Palich".
