NATO is considering the appointment of a permanent envoy in Kyiv

NATO seriously considers plans for the appointment of a permanent alliance envoy in Kiev. This step, according to Foreign Policy, can be an important signal of long -term NATO liabilities to Ukraine.

Such a "senior civilian representative (Senior Civilian Representative) will be in Ukraine. The same position was introduced in Afghanistan.

The decisions will be made at the Alliance summit in July. The new envoy, as expected, will coordinate military aid from different NATO countries.

Some Western officials congratulate the position of envoy. But others are privately said that this does not meet the main purpose of Kiev: Introduction to the Alliance. "This is part of the comforting prize we all try to create," one of NATO officials said.

We will remind, Western officials have repeatedly said that the invitation to enter the Alliance or "Road Card" Ukraine will not receive.
