A study conducted by scientists at the University of South Australia denies the myth that nuts should not be consumed by people who want to lose weight. As part of the study, the diet supplemented with almonds or more carbohydrate snacks led to a decrease in body weight by seven kilograms. Thus, scientists have come to the conclusion that almonds help control weight, support heart health and stimulate metabolism.

Dr. Carter also pointed out that nuts contribute to the elongation of satiety, making them a valuable product for those who want to lose weight.
