The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police, detained another enemy henchman who was carrying out the orders of the Russian special services in the Dnipro. A 16-year-old local resident, looking for easy money through Telegram channels, came under the influence of Russian agents, who offered him money for organizing a series of arson attacks on official cars of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to the SBU press service, the young man received instructions from a representative of Russian intelligence at the end of July. Following orders, he conducted a reconnaissance, located three targets and photographed them for confirmation. After receiving the "green light" from the Russian Federation, the suspect set fire to one of the military vehicles using a highly flammable mixture. He took a video of the fire to report to the Russian curators.
The plan of the occupiers provided for the use of these materials for informational and psychological special operations aimed at creating the appearance of an anti-Ukrainian underground in the Dnipro. Law enforcement quickly arrested the criminal and seized evidence of criminal activity, including a mobile phone and clothes, from the apartment.
Now the young man is accused of obstructing the legal activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations, and the court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of 24-hour house arrest. Despite his young age, the perpetrator faces up to eight years in prison.
