Polish farmers have blocked roads throughout the country and border crossings with Ukraine. They began a monthly general strike in protest against EU policy and Warsaw inaction to protect their economic situation, Reuters writes.
Farmers in Western Europe are protesting against EU green initiatives, rising costs and unfair competition from abroad. Their Polish colleagues also criticize the block, but are particularly active in the negative impact of importing cheap Ukrainian products, the agency said.
