The Netherlands continue to support Ukraine in the fight for security and sustainability. The Government of the Netherlands has decided to allocate more than € 2 billion for 2024 for Ukraine, which will be an important step to improve the country's military capabilities and security.
"The Netherlands continue to support Ukraine. For 2024, military support is available in the amount of 2 billion euros. We send a clear signal to this large amount: Ukraine can continue to count on us," said the Netherlands Minister of Defense Kais Ollogren in its Twitter.
Money will be used to meet the needs of Ukraine in the field of ammunition and the maintenance of existing military equipment. This step is also aimed at strengthening air defense and increasing Ukraine's cybersecurity.
The share of raised funds will be spent on the restoration and reconstruction, improvement of technological level and training of the Ukrainian military. In addition, in 2024 it is planned to provide Ukraine with shells worth 500 million euros for tanks and artillery systems, which will help to improve the defense capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
